How Midmar runs an equestrian centre
Midmar manages the riders, their lessons and their payments, not the horses: it is not a stable system, so there are no horse records, feeding or veterinary care. What it offers is what the front desk needs every day:
A private lesson is a group with one place
Group capacity starts at one place. A private lesson is a group with one place at a fixed weekly time, and a small group has two to four places, as your horses and coaches allow. The first to book takes the place and has 48 hours to complete payment, then it shows "Full", so the slot is never booked twice.
Weekly times parents can see
Each group has its days and hours, for example Sunday and Tuesday from 16:00 to 17:00, and parents see the times and places left on the centre's page before they book riding lessons. The time is fixed every week for the whole subscription: no calendar by date, and no booking a single lesson on a particular day.
Monthly for private lessons, a pack for groups
Each programme has its payment cycle: a monthly subscription that suits a private lesson at its weekly time, or termly, or a pack with a number of lessons you announce, such as 8 or 12, valid for 90 days. Anyone who renews before it ends has the new period added to the end of the current one, so no days are lost. The number of lessons describes the pack and is not reduced with each attendance.
Programmes for children, women and men
You choose each programme's category: children up to 17, adults from 18, or all ages, and its gender: boys, girls or mixed, then the age range you want. Anyone who does not meet the conditions is not accepted by the system at enrolment. An adult woman rider opens her own account and enrols in the women's programme.
Rider attendance and ratings from the coach's phone
The coach sees all the centre's groups on their phone, with today's groups marked, and takes attendance with a tap. Then they rate the rider on skills they name themselves, six at most, such as seat, balance, use of the reins, trot and jumping, from one to five stars with a short note. The equestrian centre management system keeps all of this in one place.
The pack is paid from the phone, in instalments if they wish
mada, Apple Pay and card, with Tamara instalments enabled automatically, and Tabby if the centre asks for it. The money goes to the centre's own account. If the parent registered their email, they get a message five days before the subscription ends and another on the day it ends, whatever your package.
